@buildingbread - Yes, I’m certain states you may have to pay income taxes on the student loan forgiveness amount. But the math isn’t mathin’ $10K or $20K is going to be way higher than the amount you’d pay in taxes.
In addition to that, if your investments are down this year (like most are) you may be able to sell at a loss to offset you income taxes up to $3,000 too 🤷🏾♂️
